Submissions to object to the proposed quarry at Reedy Creek close on Monday, 9th  February.

  • Attached is a proforma you can use and email to Council if you are finding submissions via PD Online confusing.

The proposed quarry is highly likely to negatively impact local residents and native animals with silica dust, noise from machinery and trucks, truck movements on Old Coast Road, destruction of koala food trees and other habitat in the Hinterland Critical Corridor and more.

Boral is reapplying to have a quarry on their property at Reedy Creek despite the fact that the Planning and Environment Court rejected a very similar application in 2017. The small changes they have made do not resolve the many problems of having a quarry in a residential area and an environmental corridor. Every submission counts, so please put yours in today.
