We are looking for an Office Administrator extraordinaire!
This is a part-time opportunity based in our beautiful 100-year-old building along the picturesque Currumbin Creek. The daily hours are designed to suit those who are looking for a great work-life balance or perhaps a mother who is looking to work while the kids area at school.
This role is part-time, Tuesday – Friday, 9 am – 2 pm.
Required skills and experience;
- Previous administration experience in a similar role for 5+ years
- Previous experience of working in a not-for-profit environment
- Demonstrated organisational, multitasking and time management skills
- Experience in prioritising and delegating the workload of a small team
- Ability to work under confidentiality guidelines
- Competency in using the Microsoft Office suite and Office365
- Passion for the environment is essential!
Tasks & responsibilities
- General Office Administration, including but not limited to opening and closing the office, monitoring calls and emails, monitoring and ordering office supplies, and liaising with cleaners and any other third parties.
- Volunteer Support, including supporting volunteers with their daily tasks, coordinating and prioritising volunteer workload and overseeing key volunteer roles when required.
- Coordinating the use of Gecko House Community Hall, including coordinating the Hall Hire Calendar, managing paperwork and invoicing hall hirers, record keeping and coordinating hall maintenance and cleaning, and support in promoting the hall hire.
- Financial support, including supporting the bookkeeper in creating and tracking invoices, managing petty cash, and understanding key financial procedures, such as Gecko’s regular donations program, and ensuring adequate support for related volunteer roles.
- Management Support, including but not limited to governance, events, advocacy and education activities.
- Create and contribute to a friendly and positive work environment where everyone feels welcome and appreciated.
