EPBC Bi-Lateral Approval Bill-Submission about Proposed Changes

Gecko is actively participating in the consultation process around the review of the federal government’s Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Protection (EPBC) Act which commenced last year.

Environmental groups and all concerned with this process were dismayed at the sudden introduction of a Bill that will allow decision making powers under the Act to be handed to the States and Territories in the form of a One-Stop-Shop environmental approvals process.
