Gecko House was formerly the Currumbin Primary School in the early 1900s. The building has undergone major renovations over the years and is now home to Gecko’s main office, library, and Gecko Hall which is available for hire by the public.

Gecko Hall, a space that adapts to your needs, is a hub for a diverse range of activities. From pilates, yoga, dance, and meditation to art classes, workshops, and seminars, the hall hosts a variety of engaging events and activities.

Located a 10-minute walk from Currumbin Beach in one direction and a 15-minute walk from The Pines Shopping Centre in the other, this stunning property is right on the banks of Currumbin Creek. It is easily accessed from both the Gold Coast Highway and the M1 motorway.

The hall, measuring 6.3 m x 10.9 m, has wooden floors, a high ceiling fitted with ceiling fans and a verandah with lovely views of the creek. Chairs and tables are available, as is a well equipped kitchen.

Q. How do I book Gecko Hall?

A. Firstly, you need to contact us for availability and suitability. Once you have decided to hire Gecko Hall, you need to return a completed and signed Hall Hire Agreement (including photographic proof of ID, a copy of Public Liability Insurance and the signed COVID agreement) within one week of the booking made and make a booking deposit payment in full within two weeks. (Please refer to section 5.b.i of the Hall Hire Agreement for further details.)

Q. Can I hire Gecko Hall for a party?

A. Gecko has a strict ‘no private parties’ policy.

Q. How many people does Gecko Hall fit?

A. Gecko Hall can accommodate up to 60 people at a time. Its dimensions are 10.93m x  6.36m.
