🌿 Go Native! Australian Floral Art Competition – Cancellation Notice 🌿

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have unfortunately had to cancel this year’s Go Native! Australian Floral Art Competition, which was due to take place this weekend.

We are very sorry for the cancellation and thank everyone who supported the competition, entered, or was planning to come along and celebrate our incredible native flora with us.

While the competition won’t go ahead this year, we hope the spirit of Go Native! continues. Australia is home to some of the most extraordinary and beautiful flora in the world, and there are so many ways we can celebrate it in our everyday lives.

Choose native flowers when decorating your home or office. Grow native plants in your garden. Look for Australian flora in floral arrangements and displays. And, perhaps most importantly, simply take the time to notice, appreciate and enjoy the incredible native plants growing around us.

Keep celebrating Australian native flora. Keep creating. Keep going native.

We look forward to bringing Go Native! back in 2027.

To celebrate National Biodiversity Month this September, Gecko Environment Council is proud to present the Go Native! Australia Floral Art Competition. National Biodiversity Month is an opportunity to recognise, celebrate and protect the extraordinary diversity of life that makes Australia unique. We invite amateur floral artists, aspiring creatives and nature lovers of all ages to celebrate our remarkable native flora by creating original floral artworks using Australian native plants and plant materials. From the vibrant colours of grevilleas and bottlebrushes to the striking forms of banksias, wattles and eucalyptus, this competition showcases the beauty, diversity and character of the plants that sustain our wildlife and shape Australia’s iconic landscapes.
