Raw food is a low-tech way of eating that is a far more wholesome way to nourish ourselves. Raw foods simply include; Fruits, vegetables, sea vegetables; activated nuts, seeds, grains, superfoods, and wild foods. Research show that raw foods contain omega 3 fats and other unsaturated fats and oils, especially in nuts, seeds, deep sea fish and green vegetables.
These foods, when raw, also have anti-inflammatory properties that protect the heart and blood vessels. Cooking these foods changes the structure of unsaturated fats and oils, creating free radicals that damage the body’s cells. It has been acknowledged that personal health is improved, and premature ageing, arthritis, cancer, diabetes and Alzheimer’s can be reduced by eating more raw foods.
Attendees will be able to taste test some foods as well as being able to purchase some sweet and savoury snacks. To reserve a seat for this special event ring Gecko on 55341412.
Bites and drinks are available for a donation.
