Walk with Us

GeckoEd conducts walks for adults around the Currumbin Estuary, Tallebudgera Estuary and Flat Rock Creek, on request. Participants will learn about the ecosystems of both Estuaries and the names of various organisms.

The Currumbin walk starts in the dunes at Palm Beach Parkland and continues on into the mangroves of Beree Badalla, or these can be done separately. To add interest, the participants could choose do the crossword puzzle in the Tarrabora section, finding clues on the various plants relative to the questions.

The Tallebudgera walk involves looking for shellfish in the tidal pools, so waterproof footwear would be a good idea. It also involves walking along the path and learning about the various flora there. This is can only be conducted at low tide.

The Flat Rock Creek walk features the various waterbirds found there and the numerous water dragons as well as any other flora and fauna to be seen along the way.
