SUMMARY:28th October 2015 – Australia – Love Your Birds
DESCRIPTION:\nAustralia boasts some of the most beautiful and peculiar birds on earth. Despite this, our rates of participation in bird related pastimes lags far behind the United Kingdom and United States. BirdLife Southern Queensland aims to change this, with a rich program of birdwatching, photography and surveying activities on offer here on the Gold Coast. Come and discover what’s happening in your local area!\nRochelle Steven has been studying the phenomenon of birding in Australia and overseas and is currently working towards completing her PhD. She will present information on how people, both younger and older, from all backgrounds, can contribute to birds and their conservation.\nWho: Rochelle Steven – Organisation: BirdLife Southern Queensland\nWhen: 28th October, 6.30pm for networking meet and greet. Presentation begins at 7pm.\nWhere:The Cove Currumbin RSL, 165 Duringan St, Currumbin QLD 4223\n
