Eco-explorers

Come Eco-Exploring with Gecko during the next school holidays!

Every Monday and Wednesday, teams of young Eco-Explorers, aged 5 to 15, will be going out into the field, exploring nature and finding out how to live more sustainably.  The program, developed by GeckoEd as part of the Catchment to Coast (C2C) environmental education project, will be led by GeckoEd trained environmental educators.

Eco Explorers creek

We’ve planned some exciting sessions for young people. They include: Extraordinary Estuaries, Colourful Catchments, Magical Mangroves, Dynamic Dunes, Tremendous Trees and Amazing Animals. Through games, creative arts, and nature-based activities, we’ll share our feelings and learn how to make a difference caring for our country.

Explorers on beach

The cost is $10 per child per two-hour session and there will be 10 sessions through the holidays.  Parents are welcome to be involved, and their attendance is essential for any additional children under five years old.
