Submission Guidelines

It would help the volunteer team greatly if submissions to LeafTales were emailed in the following format:

Text

1. All text should be attached to an email as a Microsoft Word document
2. A ‘Teaser paragraph’ should also be suggested (to suit the LeafTales format)
3. Use only one space after full stops
4. Leave a line space between paragraphs
5. Submit a suggested title (as brief as possible) and NOT in CAPS LOCK
6. The author should be presented after the title as “by ………..”
7. Font type and size does not matter, but all text should be left-aligned
8. Page Setup should be 1cm in Top, Bottom, Left and Right Margins (Go to File – Page SetUp – Margins)
9. If applicable, mention a source(s) of the article at the end
10. For all website links, we will need the exact and full web address, including the http part. i.e:http://www.acfonline.org.au/articles/news.asp?news_id=2047. Remember, all submissions must link to the full article on a website somewhere, be it Gecko’s website, or another website.
11. Please triple-check your work for spelling/grammar before submitting.

Images

1. Images may be inserted to go with the Word text
2. A suggested image to sit beside the ‘Teaser’ text should be attached to the email, preferably as a jpg. All such ‘Teaser’ images should be a minimum of 125 pixels wide and, if necessary, cropped to suit this size.

Thank you. A small amount of editing on your part will save a massive amount of time overall.

If you can’t do all of this, or have no idea what we’re on about, we’ll understand…, but please try your best.
