Thank you for considering us to feature an article in our newsletter.
Deadline for submissions – the 18th of every month.
Publication date – we aim for 1st of the month; public holidays, weekends and the like permitting.
First things first, please email the Editor newsletter[at]gecko[dot]org[dot]auwith your suggestion to check it’s something suitable for publication.
Provided it’s all systems go, here’s the low down of what happens next:
We need you to prepare and email 3 things back to us. To give you an idea of the end result, this is how the face of a typical submission ends up looking:

So, we need just 3 things from you:
1. Photo – 125 x 125 mega pixels
Please do your best to send the correct size through. This avoids any problems on our end relating to trying to find something else suitable, that’s not protected by copyright or that we have permission to use.
2. Teaser blurb
Please complete the attached Newsletter Teaser Form and email it back newsletter[at]gecko[dot]org[dot]au
It’s got form fields that are all pre-set to the correct format, with instructions, to make it as easy as possible.
3. What to link up to your teaser
Provide what’s to be linked at point 3 above, you have a choice of:
- An article – if you are planning on writing one, it can be on your website, or we can put it on ours.
- A pdf – you might, for example, have an invitation that has been pre-prepared and converted to pdf format. Send that over and we can link your teaser straight to that.
- A website link – instead of the above it may be more practical to link a specific webpage, so in that case just send us the link.
