Now is the time to get involved in Clean Up Australia Day 2012!
COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
There are two ways for you to get involved;
- Register a site that needs a clean up. If you need help selecting a site or assistance in the registration process, contact us at Gecko. Otherwise simply visit the Clean Up Australia Day website. Gecko can also assist you in site selection and promoting your site to attract volunteers!
- Register to volunteer at an existing Clean Up Australia Day site. You can register and view sites at the Clean Up Australia Day website.
Other ways for you to assist;
- Register a litter hot spot on the Gold Coast by contacting Gecko on (07) 5534 1412 or cleanup1@gecko.org.au. Click here to view the hot spots from 2011.
- Spread the word! Early in the new year, you can download an eflyer and poster on our website for you to put up in your office, shop, local library or to email to all in your social network.
In 2011, the Gold Coast had 12 registered business sites, 20 registered school sites, 4 registered youth sites and 58 registered CUAD community sites. In addition to this, Gold Coast had over 400 pre-registered volunteers and all the hundreds of people who joined the clean up on the day.
