We enjoyed creating the bird sculpture on the beach the most. It was wonderful out in the sun, really informative and fun. We learnt a lot.

Dear Geckos,
Just wanted to send you some feedback in regards to the Eco Explorers program that my daughter Lily who is 8 attended in January. I have lived in Currumbin for 20 years and it was nice for my daughter to get some extra insight into the local natural environment and also having fun at the same time. (Its always easy to learn if you are having fun). I personally found the staff very helpful and would definitely like my daughter to attend if you run this program again. Please feel free to keep my email address on file and let me know if any other programs are coming up in the future.
Kind Regards,
Suzy Dxxx

I just realised over the weekend my wife took our two kids and all their friends to your recent school holiday wetland activities at Currumbin. They had a great time and I thought what a great initiative for kids. Will definitely investigate further options to be more involved. Cheers.

Hello Sheila,
My name is Louise and I bought (sic) my daughter down to the Eco-explorers club on the Christmas holidays. I had booked her in for each session. My daughter very much enjoyed the sessions she came to and she is hoping she will get another opportunity to participate. I also thought your program was fantastic and so worthwhile for young children.

Hi,
My name is Jenny Txxxxxxx. I contacted you at the end of March about Dominic Farnworth coming and doing a presentation for our home schooling group, the Gold Coast Home Ed Group. The presentation was last Wednesday, and Dominic did a great job. There were 37 children of prep age and above who participated.
Dominic did a wonderful job. He had all the kids fully engaged with his discussion and board work on ecology and also classification of animals. Then he used puppets of Australian animals and also environmental threats to illustrate for the kids what is endangering our Australian wildlife. They had a great time and learnt a lot. We were all very impressed and the mums were very glad for the kids to be able to have a chance to be taught so well by someone else. Dominic had them laughing and singing as well and it was great to see.
We are actually wondering whether Dominic might be able to come and do another presentation on Wednesday, the 14th of October, at 10am again. It will be at the same venue in Nerang. So far he has talked with us on Cycles in the Environment and Threatened Species, and we are hoping that he will be able to do another presentation with us on further environmental issues.
Thank you very much for your help in this.
Yours sincerely,
Jenny Txxxxxxx

Dear Mark,
The planting activity was fantastic. The students felt like they weren’t at school, they were having such a wonderful time. They learnt some very valuable information about how to plant physically plants, what to be aware of when placing them, the various levels of plants, native species of plants and much more. The hand out was as excellent resource to reinforce how to plant the plants. And of course the plants you donated look brilliant in our garden.
We all thank you immensely for allowing us to have the experience. It was an extremely meaningful experience for everyone involved, and one they will remember forever. In fact, we just found out that we

came second in a national sustainable garden competition the other day (which was related to the area we planted). We will be in the newspaper on about the 4th Dec when the people involved come to present the prizes and we will be using the beautiful garden as a backdrop for our photo.
I have a certificate of appreciate for you. What address should I send it too?

Thanks again for everything Lauren Bxxxxxx
