The 2011 Annual Environmental Awards were hosted at Gecko House on Friday 2nd December. The night was a huge success and brought together members of the community, representatives from local and state government, neighbours, friends and numerous environmental stars! Mother Nature was not on our side on the night and due to the weather, we had to hold the event inside at Gecko Hall but we managed to fit everyone in very nicely and snugly.
We would like to extend a very warm thank you to Cr Wayne from Division 2 for financial support through his divisional funds in running the event, Wray Organics for assisting with the catering for the night and Tamburlaine Organic Wine for sponsoring some of the wine we served at the event. And last but by no means least, we would like to thank the talented Potts Family Band for the wonderful entertainment they provided for us. Gecko wouldn’t be able to host this wonderful annual event without all the support from the community.
